Sealing Agents Permatex Form-a-Gasket

  • Sealing Agents Permatex Form-a-Gasket use on flanges, both sides of old or new gaskets, threaded and hose connections, cover plates and all semi permanent reassembly work.
  • Use on flanges, on both sides of old or new gaskets, threaded and hose connections, cover plates and all semi permanent reassembly work. Clean surfaces thoroughly. 
  • Use brush to apply a thin, even coat to each surface. Allow to air-dry a fewminutes before fastening the parts into position. If thinning is necessary, add 188 proof denatured alcohol. For use on most types of gaskets, machined surfaces and screw thread connections of airplane and automobile engines.
  • Available in many tyep of gaskets but 3 most common type are described below :
    • 1/ Form-a-Gasket No.1 : Fast-drying, hard-setting sealant designed for sealing rigid materials and flanges, or patching holes and joints where permanent assembly is desired. Temperature range -65°F to 400°F (-54°C to 204°C); resists common shop fluids and fuels.
    • 2/ Form-a-Gasket No.2 : Slow-drying, non-hardening sealant approved for use in aviation as well as automotive applications. Temperature range -65°F to 400°F (-54°C to 204°C); resists gasoline, oil and grease.
    • 3/ Form-a-Gasket No.3 : Slow-drying, non-hardening brush-top sealant approved for use in aviation as well as automotive applications. Temperature range -65°F to 400°F (-54°C to 204°C); resists gasoline, oil and grease.
